An exchange program between Red Cross Nordic United World College (Flekke, Norway) and Ningxia University (Yinchuan, Ningxia), funded by Fredskorpset.

The Sinonor exchange program has been exchanging volunteers between Norway and China for several years. A couple of volunteers/teachers from Ningxia University has been going to UWC, while UWC alumnis and local youth from Norway has been sent to Ningxia.

The main aims of the Sinonor program is

• the integration of physically challenged people through means of education
• raising awareness about the rights of disabled people
• cultural exchange through sharing of ideas and cooperation
• putting UWC and Fredskorpset ideals into practice

The majority of SYCNNO's current members are ex-participants of Sinonor, and it's obvious from where we first found inspiration.

It was during a Sinonor- exchange that the idea of SYCNNO was first formed - and it is thanks to Sinonor that we have such a solid base in Yinchuan.

We are proud to call SYCNNO a daughter project of the Sinonor exchange program!
